Coming up soon –
If you are taking your dog out to any summer events, there are a few precautions you can take to make sure they stay healthy.
First – NEVER leave your dog in the car on a hot day, even with the windows left down a bit it still gets a lot hotter than dogs can tolerate. They quickly dehydrate and can die, so best not to do it. Many people are also aware of what can happen, and will call the police or RSPCA which can result in a broken car window which is expensive.
Always carry water with you and offer to your dog frequently and try not to stay in full sun for too long periods. The same goes for children.
If you suspect your pet has had too much sun, get them to the vets immediately. Enjoy the summer……
